YOTELPAD Athens set to open in 2026

YOTEL is officially entering the Greek market with the launch of YOTELPAD Athens, a flexible-living aparthotel set to open in late 2026 across three central locations in the city.

Introducing a smarter way to stay in Athens

The 113-key property will spread across buildings in Neos Kosmos, Monastiraki, and Omonoia, combining apartment-style living with YOTEL’s sleek, tech-forward design. Backed by London-based investment firm Valpre Capital, the development brings YOTEL’s signature PAD experience to Greece, including amenities like Mission Control, Grab+Go, Wash+Go, gyms, and a rooftop terrace at the flagship Peiraios building.

Each PAD will feature compact studios and one-bedroom apartments tailored for short stays and long-term guests—perfect for today’s mix of nomadic professionals, leisure travelers, and digital natives seeking flexibility in Europe’s trending cities.

“Athens is buzzing with energy—a city where ancient history and modern creativity come together in such a unique way,” said Rohan Thakkar, Chief Development Officer at YOTEL. “With international arrivals hitting record highs, hotel occupancy on the rise, and recent government measures limiting short-term rentals, the market is ready for innovative, branded extended-stay offerings,” he added.

A local connection with global strength

The three buildings—Miltiadou, Peiraios, and Iras—each serve a distinct audience:

  • Miltiadou is ideal for leisure and corporate guests near Syntagma Square and Monastiraki.
  • Peiraios, the flagship site in emerging Omonoia, offers a rooftop and contemporary urban design.
  • Iras, in residential Neos Kosmos, caters to longer stays with metro access and Acropolis views.

“We see Athens as a truly global destination with untapped potential in the extended stay market,” said Ahmad Hariri, Managing Partner at Valpre Capital. “Partnering with YOTEL allows us to create something international yet rooted in the city’s vibrant neighborhoods,” he noted.

YOTEL’s PAD expansion stays strong

The Athens project follows the success of YOTELPAD London Stratford and comes ahead of new openings planned in Southeast Asia and other global urban centers. With its focus on space efficiency, technology, and guest autonomy, YOTEL continues to make inroads in the extended-stay market.
