Alaska Airlines and Bank of America have rolled out the new Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® card, aiming to shake up the airline rewards space with a global-first approach and a focus on flexibility for modern adventurers.
Atmos Rewards Raises the Bar
This latest card comes as Alaska Airlines updates its rewards program, rebranding miles as “points” and introducing easier-to-reach elite tiers through “status points.” For loyal Alaska flyers, status is now more achievable than ever.
Global Value Through New Companion Awards
The highlight feature is the Global Companion Award. Cardholders can cover a companion’s ticket—on any Alaska, Hawaiian, oneworld, or global partner flight—with points, in any cabin, making it easy to travel together. Two companion awards can be earned annually, one worth 25,000 points (after qualifying spend or renewal) and another worth 100,000 points (for $60,000 in spend per year).
Brett Catlin, vice president of loyalty, alliances and sales at Alaska Airlines, noted:
“The Atmos Rewards Summit card sets a new bar for what a premium travel card can be—globally connected, deeply rewarding and designed to elevate every step of the journey,” said Brett Catlin. “We crafted this card from the ground up to offer unique, industry-leading benefits with outsized rewards and experiential enhancements unmatched by any other airline card.”
Fast Track to Status, More Points for Every Purchase
Travelers collect points quickly—3x on dining, foreign purchases, and eligible Alaska/Hawaiian bookings (that’s 3.3x for eligible Bank of America account holders). Cardholders earn 1 status point for every $2 spent and get 10,000 bonus status points every card anniversary, with status perks unlocking after just $20,000 in qualifying spend.
New applicants get a hefty 100,000-point sign-up bonus with qualifying spend, enough for business class to Tokyo or several roundtrips to Hawaii.
Lora Monfared, Head of Consumer Card Products at Bank of America, shared:
“We’ve partnered with Alaska Airlines in launching the new Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite credit card at a time when consumers are increasingly prioritizing convenience, value and access to premium travel experiences,” said Lora Monfared. “This co-branded card unlocks exclusive benefits and rewards for cardholders and allows travelers to earn more points while stretching their spending further.”
More Lounge Access, Fee Waivers, and Flexibility
Eight Alaska Lounge passes per year, free checked bags, priority boarding, instant $50 travel delay vouchers, and no partner award fees add real value for frequent flyers. Plus, sharing points with up to ten Atmos members and free transfers to select hotel partners make redemptions flexible.
