Aruba is making it easy for travelers to turn unused volunteer days into purposeful island adventures with its new Aruba VTO campaign.
Aruba VTO Brings Meaningful Travel to the Caribbean
Only one in three employees use their paid volunteer days, so Aruba is now encouraging visitors to use these “Volunteer Time Off” benefits for trips that blend giving back with relaxation. The Aruba VTO initiative connects guests to rewarding local projects—like beach cleanups, animal sanctuaries, and marine conservation—while immersing them in the island’s vibrant culture and landscapes.
Corporate Natalie helped kick off the program by sharing her own Aruba volunteer experience, and travelers can enter to win a custom out-of-office video from her at aruba.com/VTO through August 12, 2025.

Giving Back on the One Happy Island
Ronella Croes, CEO of Aruba Tourism Authority, shares,
“Aruba is more than just a beautiful destination, it’s a place where meaningful experiences and mindful travel go hand in hand. With Aruba VTO, we’re inviting guests to go beyond sightseeing and build a two-way connection with the island—one rooted in reciprocity, meaningful connection, and lasting impact. It’s a chance to experience Aruba with purpose, engage more deeply with our community, and be part of a shared promise to help preserve what makes our One Happy Island so special.”
Travelers are encouraged to sign the Aruba Promise before arrival and explore the Aruba Effect—the lasting glow from a visit to the island.
