Louis Vuitton is excited to announce Kexin Zhang as the 2025 winner of the Accessories Design Graduates Initiative (ADGI). Launched in November 2023, the second edition of the ADGI brought together over 400 students from 32 leading partner institutions across Europe and the United States. This initiative reaffirms Louis Vuitton’s dedication to fostering exceptional craftsmanship in leather goods and accessories.
About Kexin Zhang
Kexin Zhang, a Chinese designer with a background in fine jewelry, trained at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts (TAFA) and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, specializing in jewelry design, goldsmithing, and silversmithing.
Her projects showcased her ability to translate her precision and creative flair from jewelry into leather goods design, bringing a fresh and original approach to the Maison’s legacy.
When I design, I’m driven to explore every possibility. The process feels limitless; I want to experience it all. This opportunity is an exciting avenue for that exploration,” says Kexin Zhang.
Kexin will join the Louis Vuitton leather goods and accessories teams, contributing to creative dialogue and design innovation within the House.
Accessories Design Graduates Initiative (ADGI)
The Louis Vuitton Accessories Design Graduates Initiative rewards the innovation, creativity, and talent of design students. The Initiative focuses on leather goods and accessories, offering winners the opportunity to work with one of Louis Vuitton’s design Métiers. The ADGI is exclusively open to final-year BA and MA students and has partnered with a selection of the best European and American schools and universities in design and art.
In the past two years, Baron Osuna has led the Louis Vuitton Accessories Graduates Initiative, a program that invites final-year design students from select schools to craft an innovative leather accessory.
The Jurys Decision
The competition’s jury, composed of internal Louis Vuitton experts, shares a passion for innovation, excellence, and daring creativity. They selected Kexin Zheng for his passion for innovation and audacious creativity and invited him to join Louis Vuitton to showcase his potential with the House’s renowned design Métiers.
