Tiffany & Co. has inaugurated its new flagship store on Via Monte Napoleone in Milan, located in the historic Palazzo Taverna, a Neoclassical building dating back to 1835. The opening marks a significant milestone for the jeweler, bringing a new level of luxury retail to the city’s renowned fashion district.
A Blend of Heritage and Contemporary Design
The Milan flagship draws inspiration from Tiffany’s iconic Fifth Avenue Landmark in New York. Designed by architect Peter Marino, the store combines historic architecture with modern elements. The façade features arched windows crafted by Murano glassmaker Venini, recreated from an original Gio Ponti design. Window displays, inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto, reflect Tiffany’s longstanding connection to the art world.
An Immersive Experience Across Three Levels
Spanning over 1,200 square meters, the store offers visitors a journey through art and jewelry. Major works by artists such as Urs Fischer, Julian Schnabel, and Daniel Arsham are displayed throughout the space. The centerpiece is a skylight and transparent staircase, envisioned by Peter Marino and designed by Hugh Dutton, providing a sculptural interplay of glass and light reminiscent of diamonds.
Collections and Store Features
The flagship showcases Tiffany’s signature collections, including Lock by Tiffany, HardWear by Tiffany, T by Tiffany, and Knot by Tiffany. There is a dedicated Elsa Peretti gallery and a High Jewelry section. The first floor houses Home & Accessories, Personalization, and Client Service areas, while the second floor features the All About Love area, highlighting the Tiffany® Setting engagement ring.
